Great stuff!  Finally, local media takes an interest in Golden Era Studios.

Scientology and religious workers visas

March 5, 2009 by cultxpt

http://www.lisamcpherson.org/visas.htm

I wrote this after reading about Artur Solomonyan’s case, then learning about the site www.exposescientology.com.  It took a while, but I managed to get the transcripts of Solomonyan’s case where he discusses his involvement with Scientology.  Appended at the end.

Religious Workers visas are a ripe area for scams.  Hopefully the new rules that Scientology fought against will help end some of the fraud.

Protesting at Golden Era Studios

March 1, 2009 by cultxpt

Scientology’s “secret headquarters” is a large property north of Hemet California at the base of steep hills. Highway 79 bisects the property. It’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Cars whizz by. There are bushes and trees that block the view of the road on much of the property. Yet some people like to picket there. The main idea is that since David Miscavige lives and works there, it will particularly piss him off to protest theres. But to my mind, he’s about the only audience you have out there.

That being said, people have off and on protested there. Keith Henson was convicted of harassing a religion by his constant protests there (and some legal shenanigans on the prosecutor’s part). Anon Orange was gang-tackled and citizens arrested for trespassing. Riverside County just passed an ordinance about protesting meant to limit protests there.

Scientology has worked hard to limit or stop protests there. Mark Bunker and Mark Lowell were recently citizens arrested there for trespassing. The county sheriff’s department, which handles that jurisdiction, has been extremely heavy-handed and biased against protesters. I still don’t think it’s a good place to protest, but now I think it’s an important place to take a stand against governmental censorship. People have a right to protest there and the county must be stood up to when it tries to side with SCientology and shut down peaceful, legal protests. It is THIS that cannot be allowed to stand.

“secret” Scientology vault near Rock Springs, Wyoming

February 13, 2009 by cultxpt

Scientology has decided that they need a 5th vault to store L. Ron Hubbard’s teachings in case of a worlwide cataclysm.  They fear that Hubbard’s teachings will become unavailable to mankind unless they store them underground behind a locked bank vault door.  I don’t know. I think wikileaks is doing a great job preserving the “Tech” by simply making it ubiquitous.  If it’s everywhere, it’s pretty hard to destroy, no?  If it’s underground behind a locked door, it’s pretty hard to overlook, yes?  Yet Scientology has chosen to spend yet more millions of dollars on this strange project.

Phoenix New Times on Hubbard house becoming a museum

February 5, 2009 by cultxpt

http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2009-02-05/news/will-the-l-ron-hubbard-house-turn-a-camelback-neighborhood-into-a-scientology-recruitment-mecca/1

I still don’t understand why, of all the places where Hubbard lived, they’d want to turn this particular one into a shrine. He wrote Scientology 8-8008 or some throwaway piece of crap, if I remember right, there.  Nothing of much interest.  The Phoenix Lectures are not that interesting.  So what gives?  Why not the sprawling California ranch where Hubbard died?  http://www.lisamcpherson.org/cos/ranch.htm  Or the apartment complex in Dunedin Florida where he hid out from the law in the 1970s?  Or his grandpa’s ranch that was supposedly 1/4 of Montana?  I mean, why a little house where he only lived a couple of years and where nothing really happened?

Bush Administration’s manual for handling protesters

January 20, 2009 by cultxpt

The Bush Administration had a Secret Manual for how to keep protesters away from the president and the media. It’s really creepy.

I think Scientology would happily use such tactics, but Anonymous outnumbers the Scientologists in many locations.

From when I was in Clearwater, 2001.   Just a view of how the masses of  Scientologists would swarm into their cafeteria, and some other faces here and there.

I closed my youtube account

January 13, 2009 by cultxpt

Several days ago youtube took down my “Kendrick Moxon is dissed” video, claiming it violated “community guidelines.”  I looked at the youtube “community guidelines” and saw nothing that my video violated.  It was just a Scientology attorney and a reporter talking on the public sidewalk for about a minute.  I made the video.

Tonight youtube took down my video in honor of Project Chanology’s one year anniversary. This is ridiculous.

Scientology needs to be exposed.  Most of my videos were about that.  But this constant uncalled for suppression by youtube also calls for some type of action.  I chose to voice my opinion of what they do by disassociating with them.

You can find some of my videos on vimeo.com
